Volunteer Los Angeles, a service of Assistance League of Southern California, provides a direct connection between volunteers and the nonprofit organizations and government agencies where they can be of service. As one of the largest volunteer centers in the nation, Volunteer Los Angeles matches 80,000 volunteers to needs across Los Angeles, through a wide variety of services. Volunteer Los Angeles is the volunteer management contractor for the LA County DHV – Surge Unit, and manages recruitment efforts, maintains and updates volunteer records, notifies, assigns, deploys and monitors volunteers following a disaster.
