Volunteer Center of Los Angeles (VCLA) is the volunteer management contractor for the LA County DHV. VCLA manages recruitment efforts, maintains and updates volunteer records, notifies, assigns, deploys and monitors volunteers following a disaster.
5. What is the volunteer registration process?
Registering is as simple as logging on to the web site and entering the information requested. When you log on to the LA County Disaster Healthcare Volunteers web page at www.lacountyDHV.org , select "Sign Up Now!" You will be redirected to the state Disaster Healthcare Volunteers web site. Select "Register Now!"on the left bottom of the page. You should have information about your license and contact information available in order to complete the registration process. You may start and stop the registration process at any time. Simply log in to the system using the username and password you have created to complete anything you have not finished.

Disaster Healthcare Volunteers (DHV) is California's initiative to pre-register, manage and mobilize medical, health, mental health and other professional volunteers to help in responding to all types of disasters. All 58 counties in California register health volunteers, including all MRC teams on this site. Volunteers are directed to this site from local websites to facilitate registration. The website is: https://www.healthcarevolunteers.ca.gov. The DHV system is part of a nation-wide effort to ensure that volunteer professionals can be properly utilized in response to disaster.
